Management Technology Process Design
A financial practice office space is more than just the layout of the offices. It is more than just the placement of furniture and equipment. It is the combination of these elements with the goal of creating a productive and harmonious workplace with positive energy flow that promotes a homogeneous environment that is beneficial to staff and inviting to clients. There are considerations for technical issues such as visual and auditory interference (sometimes created by cubicles that are too low or improper sight-lines. There are functional considerations such as the convenience of equipment to those who use it most. And, there are the more metaphysical considerations, often addressed in Feng Shui Studies, that lend themselves to positive energy flow, blunting of corners or sharp edges and the proper mixture of color and textures. Design should be more than just aesthetic beauty. It should also be functional and efficient.
All of these elements can and should be considered in evaluating an office space design, whether it is an existing location or consideration of a new location.
Design encompasses more than just office space. It also studies branding and differentiation issues. To what extent are you branding your practice to distance yourself from other, similar firms. We offer consulting in this area to help create a unique brand element that renders the competition irrelevant through the use of techniques developed in the Blue Ocean Strategy® by its authors Renee Maubourne and W. Chan Kim.
Additionally, the psychology of office operations should be considered in Design, Process and Management.
The Efficient Practice Platform embraces all four major areas of practice operations in a holistic design to maximize the potential of the firm to drive net profitability. No one area can be singled out without having an impact on the other three. Hence, the Profit-Driven Architecture is designed to make the most of what your firm is and can be.
